CONSULT PACKAGES

Fate & Love Bridal currently offers the following two f itting packages.


STANDARD APPOINTMENT | R300 per appointment


With the standard appointment, you will receive an hour appointment where you, and two supportive individuals, will have the Fate & Love Bridal studio to yourselves. There will be a consultant present at your appointment to answer any
of your questions, conduct f ittings, and provide style advice.


LUXE APPOINTMENT | R550 per appointment


With the Luxe appointment, you will receive an hour appointment where you, and two supportive individuals, will have the Fate & Love Bridal studio to yourselves.
You will be treated to a bottle of bubbles to enjoy while you try on gowns. There will be a consultant present at your appointment to answer any of your questions, conduct f ittings, and provide style advice.

OUR SIZE AND PRICE RANGE

-Fate & Love Bridal offers evening and bridal gowns in sizes ranging from a 6/30 UK - 12/36 UK. Our most common sizes are 8/32 UK - 10/34 UK.

- If you wish to inquire about gowns in other sizes, please contact our consultant ahead of your appointment to discuss your requirements.


- Bridal hiring from R3 000 to R14 000.
- Evening gown hiring from R2 500 to R9 000.
- Cocktail dress hiring from R1 500 to R3 000.
- Bridal gown sales starting at R12 000.

BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT

- To arrange an appointment please email us on fateandlovebridal@gmail.com with an indication of the nature of your event, the date, and your size. Please communicate this information at least 48 hours before your consultation. If you have a specific gown in mind please ensure to enquire with our consultant regarding its availability and size.


- All appointments are held at the studio, and by appointment only.


- Appointment fees are non-refundable.


- As space is limited and choosing a gown is a very personal experience, please limit the number of people you bring to two supportive people.


- Regrettably, we can only f it one person per appointment. Should more than one person wish to do a fitting, please book a double, or triple, appointment.


- All appointments run for a maximum of an hour. Should you wish for more time for your fitting, please book an hour and a half or two-hour appointment.


- Fittings for alterations are included in the alterations fee.

-  Appointment fees must be paid 24 hours prior to your appointment and proof of payment must be sent to fateandlovebridal@gmail.com.-Please use your FULL NAME followed by CONSULT as your payment reference.

PLEASE NOTE:


Fate & Love welcome bookings from Monday to Saturday. Our bridal consultants works on a part-time basis and will make themselves available for you at a convenient time. Any changes or cancellations to bookings must be made, by the latest, on the evening prior to your appointment. We will extend you the same courtesy, should we need to move your fitting.

WHAT TO BRING

- If you have already purchased your shoes for the event you will be attending, please bring them with to your appointment.
- It is advisable to wear nude underwear or the underwear you intend to wear to your event.


- As space is limited and choosing a gown is a very personal experience, please limit the number of people you bring to two supportive people.


- Please avoid heavy make-up on the day of your appointment as it can rub-off on the gowns during your fitting. Any marks or stains that occur during your appointment will attract a fee, to cover the cost to have the gown cleaned.

YOUR APPOINTMENT


- Please ensure that you arrive on time, as you will only have the time allocated to you when you booked your appointment.
-All appointments are held at the Fate & Love Bridal Boutique at Old Castle Brewery, Woodstock.


- You are welcome to try on as many gowns as you wish during your appointment.


- You are kindly requested to avoid trying on gowns that are out of your specific size curve as they could be damaged in the process. You will be charged for any damages to gowns incurred during your appointment.


- Please be gentle with the garments during the fitting process, they are delicate and repair is a costly process.


- Guidance will be provided throughout your consultation.

HIRES WITHOUT FITTING

Hiring without fitting is possible if you are based outside of Cape Town and unable to attend an appointment. However, please carefully note the following:


- It is advisable to only hire a gown without fitting if you have worn the gown before and are familiar with the fit and sizing.
- Hiring a gown based solely off measurements provided is possible. However, Fate & Love Bridal does not take responsibility if the gown does not f it. There are many things other than measurements to take into consideration when  fitting a gown, so there is no guarantee that the dress will f it if you have not physically tried it on.


- Hiring fees are not refundable should the gown not fit. Hiring without fitting
is done at your own risk.

HIRING YOUR GOWN

Once you have selected your dream gown, a 60% deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable.
 

- A gown is only considered as hired once the deposit is paid. Therefore, it is advisable to pay your deposit in a timely manner to avoid disappointment.


- The hiring fee charged covers a 5 to 7 day period, depending on your agreement with Fate & Love Bridal.

- Collection of your gown can only take place two days prior to your event.


- Should you wish to hire the gown for a longer period, please note we charge a pro rata rate per day over and above the standard 7-day hire period. 
- All gowns are released to you with a hanger and dress bag. The gown must be returned on the original hanger in the dress bag. Gowns returned without these will incur a R300 fee.

 

- Proof-of-payment is required BEFORE your gown can be collected. No garment will be released from the studio without the proof-of-payment.

- Proof-of-payment must be emailed to fateandlovebridal@gmail.com with YOUR NAME followed by HIRE as the reference.
 

- Upon collection, you will be provided with a hiring contract, please ensure you read this document carefully and retain your copy for the duration of your hire.


- For the duration of your hire, you are under obligation to handle the gown with care. Please treat your gown with as much love and care as you would a gown that was custom-made for you.

PURCHASING YOUR GOWN

Once you have selected your dream gown, a 60% deposit is required to secure your gown. This deposit is non-refundable. The outstanding amount is payable 24 hours prior to collection.


- We do offer alterations to any purchased gown. These alterations are billed separately.


- A gown is only considered as purchased once the deposit is paid. Therefore, it is advisable to pay your deposit in a timely manner to avoid disappointment.


- Proof-of-payment is required BEFORE your gown can be collected. No garment will be released from the studio without the proof-of-payment.


- Proof-of-payment must be emailed to fateandlovebridal@gmail.com with YOUR NAME followed by PURCHASE as the reference.

RETURNING YOUR GOWN

Please arrange the return of your gown with our consultant via email.


- All gowns are on hire for 5 to 7 days, depending on the agreement discussed with the consultant.


- Any gown returned later than the agreed upon date will be charged on a pro rata basis.


- All gowns are released to you with a hanger and dress bag. The gown must be returned on the original hanger in the dress bag. Gowns returned without these will incur a R300 fee.


- All gowns will undergo inspection upon return. You will be liable for any damage incurred while the gown is under your care.


- Please return the gown directly to our consultant at the Fate & Love Bridal premises. Our neigbouring business owners are lovely, but please do not request to leave your returned gown with them; you will be liable for any loss or damage that occurs in this instance.

ALTERATIONS

- Alterations are possible on purchased gowns only and are entirely dependent on the gown. Should you wish to have a gown altered, please discuss this with the consultant during your appointment.


- Alterations requested will be done at an extra charge above that of the hiring fee.


- Alteration fees are determined on a case-by-case basis, at the discretion of the relevant designer.


- Any required alterations requested will be noted by the consultant and an estimate will be emailed to you after your  appointment.

CLEANING

Our hire fee includes cleaning.


- We kindly request that you do not dry clean the gown yourself prior to return. We prefer to use our trusted dry cleaners who have experience handling our gowns.


- In the event of a stain or a mark, we kindly request that you notify the consultant and soak the gown or stained area in a warm bath with hand-washing powder as soon as possible. Do not use bleach under any circumstances. It is important to
note that our gowns are fragile when wet so please handle carefully.

COURIER

We highly recommend that all gowns are collected and returned in person.


However, we understand that sometimes it is necessary to use a courier.


- We use a reliable courier service, The Courier Guy, for our gowns. The gowns are couriered directly to you, with insurance.


- Hiring and purchasing fees are exclusive of courier fees. Payment of courier fees, with insurance, will be invoiced for along with your gown.
- No gown will be handed over for courier until all fees have been paid in full.


- Please ensure that you have factored in delivery times into your time-line. Our couriers take at least 2 working days to deliver. Late gowns will be billed at a pro-rata rate per day overdue, regardless of circumstance.


- Due to the value of our gowns, we do not courier dresses for the sole purpose of fittings. Should you wish to courier a gown for f itting purposes you will be required to pay the full hiring fee of the gown, regardless of whether it is only
for fitting purposes.


- We do insure our gowns with our courier service. However, should a gown be lost or stolen in transit, our refunds will be subject to payout from our courier service.

LOSS AND DAMAGE

Our hiring gowns have been worn before, so although their condition will not be flawless, they will be in a near perfect condition upon collection.


- Any garment irregularities that cannot be amended will be brought to your attention during the hiring consultation. However, it is your best interest to carefully look for issues with your chosen gown, and bring it to the attention of the consultant, before it leaves the Fate & Love studio.


- All gowns will be assessed for damage/stains upon return. Any damages will be charged on a case-by case basis.


- The damage fees are a minimum of R250, the fees are calculated at the discretion of the relevant designer.


- If the gown is stained whilst it is worn, we kindly request that you notify the consultant and soak the gown or stained area in a warm bath with hand-washing powder as soon as possible. Do not use bleach under any circumstances. It is important to note that our gowns are fragile when wet so please handle carefully.


- We do understand that it is impossible to keep these dresses perfectly clean as hems do get dirty whilst they are being worn. However, damage such as tears in the fabric, removal of bead work, broken zips and straps, stains on the gowns above the hem, body tape and/or sticky residue left on the gown, and instant tan and make-up marks will be charged extra for special cleaning and repair.


- Should a gown be lost or damaged beyond repair, through theft or negligence, you will be liable for the total purchasing value of the gown. This is nonnegotiable and the cost is listed on the hiring contract which you sign upon release of the gown.
